Redirects
You can make a page automatically redirect to another page with this code:
#REDIRECT [[Article to redirect to]]
That code must be at the absolute top of the article, however. See this example.
Spammers
There are a TON of spammers here. I just went through every page on this wiki, and, eliminated them.
AFAIK, there's only one active sysop here, User:Krstic. I'll get a list-o-spammers together, and, hopefully, that person will block them :)
MediaWiki's spam blacklist extension, and, checkuser might be useful, in combating this spam. Until then, frequent checks of Special:Recentchanges is required :)
If you find a spam page, you can click 'History', and, go back to a version that looks legit, then, hit 'edit', and, submit the form. That will revert that page, back to the 'clean' version.
Hope some of this helps someone out there! --MySQL 06:28, 17 August 2007 (EDT)
Wanna help?
Try adding to some of these short pages: Category:Short articles --MySQL 07:48, 17 August 2007 (EDT)
Sign your posts!
If you make a post to a Talk: page (NOT an article!) Please, sign your comment with the four tildes! (Like this: ~~~~) It ends up looking something like this: --MySQL 07:59, 17 August 2007 (EDT) . You can also use the button at the top of the edit box, that looks like this:
.
This lets others know easily who made the comment, and, makes it easier for us to message you about it, and, to know whom we are replying to. --MySQL 07:59, 17 August 2007 (EDT)
